Questar III BOCES announces a part-time, stipend-based, Virtual Health Teacher position to serve students in our Virtual Learning Academy (VLA). The Questar III VLA is an innovative blended (combination of synchronous and asynchronous) online instructional program that supports our regional school district students in a virtual learning environment. All NYS Certified 7-12 Health Education Teachers are welcome to apply. 

Teacher Responsibilities include: 

• Promote a positive learning environment that encourages students to actively engage in their learning. 

• Ensure content and assignments are aligned with the New York State Learning Standards/Assessments and meet student needs.

• Provide substantive interaction with students using flexible, individualized, and best practice online instruction. 

• Communicate goals for the course and discuss changes or additional goals with each student as needed throughout the course. 

Teacher Benefits: 

• Participate in a unique educational opportunity.

• Maintain a flexible schedule. 

• Work from almost any location (Remote/Virtual).

• Training and support provided.

• Supplement income and have fun at the same time. 

• Limited class size. 

Required Minimum Qualifications: Appropriate NYS Certification required 7 - 12 Health.
