Job Description:

The Computer Service Support Technician is an entry-level position within the Technology Services Department, ideal for recent graduates or individuals starting their career in IT. This role provides foundational experience in IT support, focusing on assisting end-users and ensuring smooth daily operations.

The Computer Service Support Technician provides basic support for hardware, software, and peripherals. Key tasks include setting up workstations, installing software, and troubleshooting standard user issues.

The technician works closely with end-users to resolve common technical problems and escalates more complex issues to higher-level staff as needed. This role offers valuable exposure to real-world IT operations and is an excellent stepping stone for those

seeking to build their skills in technology support and customer service.

Candidates for this role should exhibit "The Leading Edge" characteristics, such as a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn. Although prior experience is generally not required, familiarity with basic computer setup and troubleshooting is helpful.

Minimum Qualifications:

(A) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology or a related field; 

OR

(B) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and professional certification in computer related field IT certifications, such as CompTIA A+ or Network+; 

OR

(C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.

$40,000 - $50,000
