Crisis Intervention Worker

Starting immediately - Questar III BOCES announces a full-time (10-month school schedule) Crisis Intervention Worker position to support Questar III students located at our Paul Puccio School at Maple Hill in Schodack, NY.  

Our program at Paul Puccio School at Maple Hill supports students who are alternately assessed and are working on functional living skills, communication skills.  This job requires achieving and maintaining full Therapeutic Crisis Intervention in Schools (TCIS) certification as soon as training is available.

Minimum Qualifications:

a) Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered two year college with an Associate’s degree with at least 12 credits in child care, human services, and/or behavioral sciences.

Or

b) Two years of experience working with children or youth with behavioral or emotional problems in a community center, facility or school.

Columbia County Civil Service residency requirements will apply (must be a resident of Albany, Rensselaer, Columbia, Greene, Ulster or Dutchess County at time of hire).

Special Education Teacher – Paul Puccio School at Maple Hill

Beginning Immediately - Questar III BOCES announces a vacancy for a full-time probationary Special Education Teacher located at the Paul Puccio School at Maple Hill in Schodack, NY.  Our program at Paul Puccio School at Maple Hill supports students who are alternately assessed and are working on functional living skills, communication skills. We offer the support of speech/language therapy, occupational and physical therapy, counseling and behavioral intervention planning.  Looking for the right candidate who wants to work in a team environment with K-2 students and especially loves all kids.

Proper NYS Students with Disabilities certification required.   All levels (SWD 1-6, 5-9, or 7-12) Students with Disabilities certified applicants are encouraged to apply.   Applicants who recently graduated pursuing NYS Teacher certification are also encouraged to apply.
