Questar III BOCES announces a full-time School Social Worker vacancy for our 2025 Special Education Extended School Year Summer School. Classes run from July 7 to August 15, with a full day orientation on July 2. Questar III’s social work service provides individual and group counseling for students with school adjustment challenges. This service includes crisis intervention, transition plans, consultation, case management and coordination and facilitation of home-school communication.

Requirements:

• Proper NYS School Social Work certification required
• Preferred candidates will have their NYS clinical license and have experience working with special education students

Requirements:

• Proper NYS Students with Disabilities certification required (SWD 1-6, 5-9, or 7-12)
• Applicants who recently graduated and that are pursuing NYS Teacher certification are also encouraged to apply
• Preferred candidates will have dual certification, strong classroom management skills, background in trauma-informed care, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and experience working with a team to implement Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
