About the Job

Questar III BOCES announces a full-time (6-week summer program) Physical Therapist position to support Questar III special education students during ESY located at our following School Locations:

George Washington School (Troy)

Paul Puccio School at Maple Hill (Schodack)

Rensselaer Academy (Rensselaer)

Sackett Educational Center (Castleton-on-Hudson)

The Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, and providing therapy services to students with physical disabilities or motor delays. Unlike a clinical setting, your focus here is on educational relevance—ensuring students can navigate the school environment, participate in playground activities, and sit comfortably at their desks to learn. This position will provide Physical Therapy services in accordance with student IEP's.

Extended Summer Year (ESY) Schedule is as follows:

  • July 2, 2026 - Orientation Day - All Day
  • July 6, 2026 - August 14, 2026 - 6 weeks

 Requirements: 

Proper NYS Physical Therapy license/certification required (candidates who just completed a certification program will be considered)

Preferred candidates will have experience working with Special Education students.

Questar III BOCES announces a full-time (6-week summer program) Speech Pathologist position to support Questar III special education students during ESY located at our following School Locations:

George Washington School (Troy)

Paul Puccio School at Maple Hill (Schodack)

Rensselaer Academy (Rensselaer)

Sackett Educational Center (Castleton-on-Hudson)

This position will deliver speech articulation as well as expressive and receptive language skills in accordance with NYS education standards and student IEP's.  Proper NYS certification in Speech/Language is required (candidates who just completed a certification program will be considered).  Experience working with Special Education students is preferred.

Qualifications:

Proper NYS school certification in Speech/Language required (candidates who just completed a certification program will be considered). 

Preferred candidates will have their NYS License of Clinical Competency and experience working with Special Education students.
