About

Questar III BOCES School Improvement Team is seeking a detail-oriented and communicative Homeschool Liaison on an hourly basis to support a select group of our school districts. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing homeschool reporting requirements and ensuring strict compliance with all applicable state and local regulations.

As the primary point of contact for homeschooling families, you will provide timely, accurate, and professional communication regarding reporting deadlines, documentation requirements, and program updates. You will play a vital role in maintaining meticulous records, tracking submissions, and fostering positive, collaborative relationships between the districts and homeschooling families.

Responsibilities

  • Compliance & Review: Oversee, review, and track homeschool reporting requirements to ensure full compliance with state and local regulations.
  • Family Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for homeschooling families, answering inquiries and providing guidance on documentation and deadlines.
  • Communication: Deliver timely, professional, and accurate updates regarding program changes, reporting deadlines, and paperwork requirements.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized, up-to-date records of all submissions, approvals, and student files.
  • District Collaboration: Work collaboratively with school and district staff to streamline reporting processes and support positive community relations.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of (or ability to quickly learn) state and local homeschooling regulations and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a heavy emphasis on customer service and empathy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail for tracking documentation.
  • Ability to work independently on a flexible, per diem schedule.
  • Proficiency with basic office software, data entry, and digital record-keeping systems.
  • NYS Teacher Certification Required.
