About the Job

We are seeking a reliable, efficient, and customer-focused Delivery Person to join our growing team. The Delivery Person will be responsible for safely and promptly delivering school lunches to designated locations for our 6 week Extended School Year Program. 

The Extended School Year Program dates are Monday through Friday,  7/6/2026-8/14/2026

This role requires excellent time management, a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, and adherence to all traffic and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

Load, transport, and deliver items to clients or businesses in a safe and timely manner.

Review orders prior to delivery to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle (e.g., checking fluid levels, tire pressure) and report any mechanical issues.

Navigate various routes and use GPS or mapping tools to determine the most efficient delivery paths.

Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, and other team members regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.

Collect payments, obtain signatures, and issue receipts as required.

Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and local regulations.

Handle items with care to prevent damage during transit.

Maintain accurate delivery logs and records.

Assist with loading and unloading packages as needed.

Perform pre-delivery and post-delivery vehicle inspections.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid New York State driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL may be required depending on vehicle type).

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred.

Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.

Familiarity with local routes and road networks.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Customer service-oriented with a professional and friendly demeanor.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Punctual and reliable.

Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Comfortable using GPS devices, mapping software, and possibly hand-held scanners/delivery apps.

Responsibilities:

Instructional Continuity: Implement individualized programming based on existing IEP goals, focusing on the maintenance of academic, social, and functional skills.

Classroom Management: Create a supportive, structured, and inclusive "summer-friendly" learning environment that accommodates various sensory and behavioral needs.

Data Collection: Maintain accurate and consistent progress monitoring data to document student performance throughout the 6-week session.

Collaboration: Lead and direct Classroom Paraprofessionals/Aides to ensure effective small-group and one-on-one support.

Communication: Provide brief, positive weekly updates to parents/guardians regarding student engagement and goal progress.

Reporting: Complete a final ESY progress report for each student to be shared with their primary school-year teacher.

Requirements:

Proper NYS Students with Disabilities certification required (SWD 1-6, 5-9, or 7-12)

Applicants who recently graduated and that are pursuing NYS Teacher certification are also encouraged to apply

We are seeking a highly focused and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 1:1 assignment during our 6-week Extended School Year (ESY) program. In this role, you will be dedicated to the health and safety of one specific student with complex medical needs.

Your presence is what allows this student to attend school safely. You will provide continuous medical monitoring and skilled nursing interventions throughout the school day, ensuring the student can engage in learning activities while their medical needs are managed with precision and care.

Extended Summer Year (ESY) Schedule is as follows:

July 2, 2026 - Orientation Day - All Day

July 7, 2026 - August 14, 2026 - 6 weeks

Responsibilities

Continuous 1:1 Monitoring: Maintain constant visual and physical proximity to the assigned student to monitor for medical distress, seizure activity, or respiratory changes.

Skilled Nursing Interventions: Perform student-specific procedures as outlined in their Individualized Healthcare Plan (IHP), which may include:

  • G-tube/J-tube feedings and medication administration.
  • Tracheostomy care and oral/pharyngeal suctioning.
  • Oxygen monitoring and administration.
  • Catheterization or specialized toileting assistance.

Emergency Response: Act as the immediate first responder for the student’s specific medical emergencies, including the administration of rescue medications (e.g., Diastat, Glucagon, or EpiPen).

Instructional Collaboration: Work alongside the Special Education Teacher to help the student participate in classroom activities by positioning them comfortably and managing medical equipment (ventilators, pumps, or monitors) during lessons.

Safe Transitions: Accompany the student at all times, including on the school bus (if required), in the hallways, and during outdoor activities, ensuring all life-sustaining equipment is transported safely.

Documentation: Maintain a detailed daily nursing log specific to the student’s intake, output, vitals, and any medical interventions performed.

Requirements:

Current, valid New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License.

CPR/AED and First Aid Certification

Preferred candidates will have experience working with special needs children with various developmental disabilities.  Prior experience in Pediatrics, School Nursing, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Academic Modification: Work closely with the Lead Teacher to modify daily assignments on the fly to meet the student's specific learning style and ability level.

Facilitate Inclusion: Help the student move between the classroom, therapy sessions (OT/PT/Speech), and social activities, acting as a bridge for communication and interaction with peers.

Progress Documentation: Keep detailed, daily logs of the student’s progress, behavioral frequency, and successful interventions to be reviewed by the educational team.

Personal Care & Safety: Assist with specific physical or medical needs, which may include sensory breaks, mobility assistance, or hygiene support as required by the student's profile.

Requirements:

NYS Teaching Assistant Certification required at time of hire.

High School Diploma required; Paraeducator certification or college coursework in Special Education/Psychology is highly preferred.

Preferred candidates will have experience working with Special Education students. Prior experience working 1:1 with students with complex needs (e.g., Non-verbal, Autism, Emotional/Behavioral Disorders) is a significant advantage.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to join our dynamic team for the summer. The OTA will work under the direct supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to implement patient-specific treatment plans designed to help students recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and be committed to promoting independence and quality of life for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the Implementation of Treatment Plans:

Execute therapeutic interventions as established by the supervising OT, including purposeful activities and exercises designed to improve students' motor skills, strength, endurance, cognitive function, and daily living skills (ADLs/IADLs).

Student Care and Documentation:

Monitor and document student performance, progress, and response to treatment, reporting any significant changes to the supervising OT promptly.

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant student records and charts.  

Educate students and their families/caregivers on treatment procedures, home exercise programs, and adaptive equipment use.

Assist in Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist regarding student status, goal modifications, and progress planning.

Communicate professionally and compassionately with students, families, and other healthcare professionals (e.g., Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists).

Assist with Equipment and Environment:

Assist in the daily use and maintenance of adaptive equipment, orthotics, and splints.

Ensure a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment, including proper handling and cleaning of therapy tools and equipment.

Professionalism:

Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and ethical standards of practice set forth by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

Qualifications:

Current NYS Certified Occupational Therapy licensure/certification required.

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a COTA, or new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Skills:

Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and demonstrate strong clinical reasoning skills. 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred applicants will have experience working with special education students in an education setting. 

Candidates with relevant experience in geriatric care, pediatrics, and acute rehabilitation settings are encouraged to apply.

Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.

This role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and kneeling. The OTA must be able to lift and transfer patients and equipment, which may require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific demands will vary based on the clinical setting.

Responsibilities

Direct Nursing Care: Provide routine and specialized nursing care, including G-tube feedings, tracheostomy care, catheterization, and basic wound care as outlined in student healthcare plans.

Medication Administration: Safely administer oral, inhaled, and topical medications to students according to physician orders and established protocols.

Health Monitoring: Monitor students for signs of medical distress, seizure activity, or changes in baseline health status, reporting concerns immediately to the RN.

Emergency Assistance: Assist the RN in responding to medical emergencies, including the administration of emergency medications (e.g., Diastat, EpiPen) when necessary.

Physical Support: Assist with the safe positioning and transferring of students with physical disabilities to prevent skin breakdown or injury during school hours.

Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, up-to-the-minute logs of treatments, medications administered, and any health-related incidents.

Collaboration: Communicate effectively with teachers and 1:1 aides regarding a student’s daily health needs or any temporary medical restrictions.

Requirements:

Current, valid New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License.
