Questar III BOCES announces a vacancy for a Nursing Assistant Teacher to fill a maternity leave of absence located at our Robert H. Gibson Technical School in Troy, NY.   This position will provide classroom, lab and off-site clinical instruction and supervision for the high-school Nursing Assistant students.  Selected candidate will keep accurate records of daily attendance and student progress, assist students individually and in groups with lesson assignments to reinforce learning concepts, integrate technology throughout the curriculum, and administer exams/assessments to evaluate student progress and achievement.

Proper NYS Registered Nurse (R.N.) license required. Candidates must possess or be willing to pursue a NYS teaching certification through the Transitional Certification process in Nurse’s Assisting.  Candidates with a background in nursing are encouraged to apply. Beginning Immediately - Questar III BOCES is seeking a Math teacher at the Questar III and HVCC STEM High School, located on HVCC campus. This position will be working collaboratively with other teachers to develop and deliver project-based learning in cross-curricular lessons with an emphasis on STEM.

STEM HS is in its second year and serves high school students throughout the capital region. Students earn their high school diploma while also working toward earning their Associates degree in a STEM field from HVCC.

This school is a rigorous program that is geared towards real world problem solving skills, forging connections with industry professionals and exposing students to 21st century skills. Innovative teachers who enjoy working in a team environment are ideal candidates.

We offer the support of speech/language therapy, occupational and physical therapy, counseling and behavioral intervention planning.  Looking for the right candidate who wants to work in a team environment with K-2 students and especially loves all kids.
