About the Job
Questar III BOCES announces a full-time (6-week summer program) School Psychologist position to support Questar III special education students during ESY located at our following School Locations:
George Washington School (Troy)
Marilyn A. Noonan School (Durham)
Paul Puccio School at Maple Hill (Schodack)
Rensselaer Academy (Rensselaer)
Sackett Educational Center (Castleton-on-Hudson)
The School Psychologist position will be responsible for providing individual and group counseling; facilitate PBIS teams; respond and provide assistance in crisis situations; facilitate functional behavioral assessments; communicate with community agencies and other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
Extended Summer Year (ESY) Schedule is as follows:
- July 2, 2026 - Orientation Day - All Day
- July 7, 2026 - August 14, 2026 - 6 weeks
Monday through Friday, 8am - 2:30 pm
Requirements:
Proper NYS School Psychologist certification required (students who have just completed or are currently enrolled in a School Psychologist certification program are encouraged to apply).
Preferred candidates will have experience working with special education students.
