About the Job
Questar III BOCES announces a full-time (6-week summer program) Crisis Intervention Worker position to support Questar III special education students during Extended Summer Year (ESY) located at our following School Locations:
George Washington School (Troy)
Marilyn A. Noonan School (Durham)
Paul Puccio School at Maple Hill (Schodack)
Rensselaer Academy (Rensselaer)
Sackett Educational Center (Castleton-on-Hudson)
This position will provide Exceptional Learning staff with additional behavior management support necessary to maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and to maintain a safe environment for all.
Extended Summer Year (ESY) Schedule is as follows:
July 2, 2026 - Orientation Day - All Day
July 7, 2026 - August 14, 2026 - 6 weeks
Monday through Friday, 8am - 2:30 pm
Must have a high school diploma and at least two years of experience working with students who present behavioral challenges in an educational setting.
Preferred candidates will hold a valid Certification in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
Columbia County Civil Service residency requirements will apply (must be a resident of Albany, Rensselaer, Columbia, Greene, Ulster or Dutchess County at time of hire).
