About the Job
The Warehouse Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the receiving, storing, and shipping of supplies within the warehouse and school district. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. The Warehouse Laborer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining an organized warehouse environment.
Responsibilities include:

Driving and Loading/Unloading: Operates a box truck to deliver supplies to various Locations. Manually load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.

Receiving: Verify incoming shipments against documents, identify and report discrepancies, and move received supplies to designated storage areas.

Picking and Packing: Accurately pick supplies from warehouse locations based on pick lists/orders and prepare them for shipment, including packing, labeling, and staging.

Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and organization of

Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by sweeping, clearing aisles, and disposing of waste properly. Stocking shelves and maintaining inventory organization.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.

Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or management.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or similar physical labor role preferred, but not always required for entry-level positions.
Physical Demands:

Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and climb for extended periods.

Manual dexterity and ability to use hands to handle and feel.

Good vision, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
