Job Description

Questar III BOCES announces a full-time School Social Worker vacancy for our 2025 Special Education Extended School Year Summer School. Classes run from July 7 to August 15, with a full-day of orientation on July 2. Questar III’s social work service provides individual and group counseling for students with school adjustment challenges. This service includes crisis intervention, transition plans, consultation, case management and coordination and facilitation of home-school communication.  Our locations include:

• Rensselaer Academy (Rensselaer, NY)
• Rensseeelaer City SD (Rensselaer, NY)
• Paul Puccio School at Maple Hill MS (Schodack, NY)
• Marilyn A Noonan School at Durham (Durham, NY)
• Sackett Education Center (East Greenbush, NY)

Requirements:

• Proper NYS School Social Work certification required
• Preferred candidates will have their NYS clinical license and have experience working with special education students
