Questar III BOCES Health and Safety office has an immediate opening for a full-time Health & Safety Operations Manager based out of the Central Office in Castleton, NY. This position is responsible for providing administrative support services that assist the Health & Safety and Operations & Maintenance departments in day-to-day operations. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of presentations/workshop delivery including, but not limited to, scheduling and development of presentation materials utilizing spreadsheets, databases and presentation software;
- Design and implement systems to manage daily workflow of Questar III operations and district services;
- Serve as frontline resource to client school districts and BOCES to answer questions and requests related to services provided by Health & Safety;
- Maintain employee injury reporting in accordance with regulations using related software;
- Create and maintain comprehensive client contact and service database, client list serve and prepare reports as necessary;
- Assist supervisor with the development and management of the Health & Safety;
- Perform a variety of office related duties:
- Represent the organization upon supervisor’s request at local, regional and statewide activities as they relate to the area of responsibility;
- Other duties as assigned;
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (On or before the last filing date): Either:
A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree OR
B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s Degree and two (2) years of professional work experience with a public agency or private business OR
C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of A and B above.
PLEASE NOTE: Columbia County Civil Service residency requirements will apply. Must be a resident of Albany, Rensselaer, Columbia, Greene, Ulster or Dutchess county.
