Beginning Immediately - Questar III BOCES announces an opportunity for an Interim Principal, Special Education to oversee our special education program located at the George Washington (GW) School in Brunswick, NY. The GW School program serves special education students at the elementary level. The anticipated time frame for the position is September 3rd through October 11th.
Questar III BOCES provides a comprehensive array of special education programs services for students in the region. Students are placed in programs according to their individual academic capabilities and social/behavioral needs. Each program provides students with individualized instruction in a curriculum adapted to meet the state learning standards. Learning is enriched by interactive community-based experiences and through the support of specialists in social work, speech, occupational and physical therapy. Questar III also offers extensive support services to school districts through itinerant services, consultation services and staff development opportunities. The position requires NYS School Building Leader administrative certification (SBL). Preferred candidates should have demonstrated administrative experience, as well as experience in working with special education programs.
