Questar III BOCES has a full-time Asset Management Technician position available within our Asset Management Service located in Castleton, NY. This position will perform a variety of inventory and fixed asset duties for the BOCES and participating school districts, such as:
Typical Work Activities:
- Prepare and maintain fixed asset inventory records on all pieces of equipment.
- Communicate with vendors, staff, and supervisors to ensure the efficient operation of Fixed Asset Inventory.
- Performs physical inventories of supplies, equipment and fixed assets.
- Prepares and maintains manual and electronic fixed asset records and reports ready for reference using computer applications.
- Uses computer and fixed asset software to acknowledge receipt of inventory, maintain receiving records, and issue fixed asset tags.
- Travel is required, which will require a valid driver’s license.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and two (2) years of related professional work experience. Preferred candidates will have good knowledge of methods used in keeping records and knowledge of the procedures used in receiving, storing, and issuing fixed asset inventory.
