Occupational Therapist

Questar III BOCES announces a vacancy for an Occupational Therapist to fill a maternity leave of absence located at our George Washington School in Troy, NY. This position will provide assistance to students using strategies that maximize independence and learning in the school environment and help develop living skills. 

Current NYS Certified Occupational Therapy licensure/certification required (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) will also be considered).  Preferred applicants will have experience working with special education students in an education setting.

Occupational Therapist / OTA – Summer School

Questar III BOCES announces a full-time Occupational Therapist / OTA vacancy for our 2025 Special Education Extended School Year Summer School. Classes run from July 7 through August 15 with a full day orientation on July 2.  Summer School locations will include Rensselaer City, Rensselaer Academy, Sackett Educational Center, Paul Puccio School at Maple Hill and Marilyn A Noonan School at Durham. This position will provide Occupational Therapy services in accordance with student IEP's.   Our locations include:

  • Rensselaer Academy (Rensselaer, NY)
  • Rensseeelaer City SD (Rensselaer, NY)
  • Paul Puccio School at Maple Hill MS (Schodack, NY)
  • Marilyn A Noonan School at Durham (Durham, NY)
  • Sackett Education Center (East Greenbush, NY)

Requirements:

  • Proper NYS Occupational Therapy license/certification required (candidates who just completed a certification program will be considered)
  • Preferred candidates will have experience working with Special Education students
